Inspection Experience
Joseph Straut, Senior Steel Inspector, joined The Thompson & Lichtner Company, Inc. in 1973, following his graduation from Northeastern University. Mr. Straut has over thirty years experience in most areas of Thompson & Lichtner's inspection services on new and renovation construction, including concrete, precast concrete, structural steel, unit masonry, curtain wall panel systems, windows, roofing, and caulking and sealing. He also has participated in staff investigations of construction materials and weatherproofing failures in building fa├žade construction.

Among new construction projects, Mr. Straut has provided inspection of structural steel during construction of Blackfan Life Science Center, Boston; MIT Sloan School of Management, MIT Media Lab, in Cambridge; Allston Science Center Complex, Boston; Olin College in Wellesley. Mr. Straut has also provided shop fabrication inspection for many projects.
