Girum Retta
Senior Construction Inspector/Lab Supervisor

Girum Retta has been Thompson & Lichtner’s Senior Construction Inspector since 1999 and was appointed Lab Supervisor in 2016. He provides inspection and testing services for a range of structural materials, including soils, cast-in-place concrete, reinforcing steel, bituminous concrete (asphalt), CMU wall construction, sprayed-on fireproofing, and bolting of structural steel. Mr. Retta has extensive experience performing tests in our laboratory and conducts a variety of non-destructive tests of construction materials. He has also participated in condition surveys of existing buildings. Among the projects for which Mr. Retta has provided inspection and testing services are Academy Homes II in Roxbury, North Andover High School, and Kendall Square Building A in Cambridge.
